July's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Kendrick
Monday, August 1st , 2061
In July when the Jonesboro manager wrote the name "Kendrick" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Mitch Kendrick took the hill, took charge and usually got the win.
He dominated with a 4-0 mark and 0.90 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Growlers star pitched 40 innings, fanned 28 and held opposing teams to a .165 average.
For his outstanding mound performance Kendrick was named the SAL Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers.
This season, Kendrick has 9 wins and 3 losses and a 2.17 ERA.

Jereb Snags MID Top Hurler Trophy
Monday, August 1st , 2061
Question: Who was the #1 pitcher in the Midwest League in July? Answer: That would be Elijah Jereb of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He excelled with a 4-0 mark and a 1.88 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 38.1 innings, fanned 33 and held opposing teams to a .229 average. That's exactly why the Midwest League scribes voted him the Pitcher of the Month.
