Loons Beat Snappers, 8-3
|
Led by Denton Wisniewski, the Great Lakes Loons downed the Beloit Snappers, 8-3. Wisniewski went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Loons. Great Lakes pitcher Griffin Tuell got the win. He's now 5-2. Vito Medina was tagged with the loss. Jordan Karbon earned the save, his 1st, for the Loons.
Great Lakes used a clutch at-bat from Miguel Camarena to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Loons ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Things kind of got away from us," said Beloit skipper Lawrence Crocker.
The Loons improved to 82-45.
