The Greensboro Grasshoppers, despite a fine performance by Hagerstown pitcher William Pysher, grabbed a 3-2 win in 11 innings at NewBridge Bank Park. Pysher allowed 1 run over 5.2 innings. The win puts the Grasshoppers at 78-49, while the Suns drop to 57-70.

Greensboro got a knockout punch from Aidan Quinn. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Bryce Scott.
