The Greensboro Grasshoppers topped the Lexington Legends, 7-1, in South Atlantic League action at NewBridge Bank Park. The standout performance belonged to Greensboro pitcher and Mitchell, South Dakota, native Phil Oxendine. Oxendine got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Oxendine allowed 1 run. The Grasshoppers now have a record of 83-44 with the win over Lexington.

The Grasshoppers got a lift from designated hitter Dionenrys Hidalgo, who in the bottom of the third stroked a 2-2 fastball into left for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Grasshoppers ahead, 3-1.

Hidalgo called the win "a team effort."
