Black Diamonds Win Regional Championship Series Saturday, October 4th , 2059 Rookie Advanced fans were certainly not disappointed with this Pioneer League Regional Championship Series. The two teams were evenly matched and the series went to the final game, with the Lethbridge Black Diamonds prevailing over the Medicine Hat Stampede to advance to the R+ Championship Series. Lethbridge won the final game by a score of 8-6 at Howard Johnson Field and that sealed the series 4-3. "Things were tense in our clubhouse and dugout before and during this game, but we can let loose a bit now -- the hard work is over, for now," said right fielder Sam Fuller, who earned MVP honors. For the series, Fuller hit .462 with a .517 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.
