Almost There: Wichita On Cusp of RCS Triumph After 8-4 Win
The Wichita Pilots moved to within one game of the AA Championship Series, downing the visiting Lincoln Bighorns at Regions Field by a score of 8-4. Pilots left fielder Elder Escalante did some major damage. He was 2-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win gives the Pilots a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Regional Championship Series.

In the bottom of the third, Escalante had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run double off Atworth Garrett that staked the Pilots to a 2-0 lead.

Wichita manager Ryan Coleman commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Regions Field in Wichita.
