Ayala Slams 5 Hits for Lake County Friday, June 7th , 2052 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Roberto Ayala today. Ayala went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Cedar Rapids pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Classic Park, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Lake County Captains had a 15-2 victory over the Haymakers. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Roberto Ayala singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
