Hoehne Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, August 16th , 2061 A jubilant Dillon Hoehne joined the postgame press conference at Dickey-Stephens Park to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Mississippi Braves pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Arkansas Travelers first baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-5 hitting performance, which led to the 16-2 Travelers win. "He made it look easy," said Sandy Estrada, manager of the Braves. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Dillon Hoehne singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
