Arkansas wasted a solid 7.2-inning effort from starting pitcher Emiliano Quintero, losing to Pensacola, 2-1, at Dickey-Stephens Park. Gage Bailey claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 4-0. Kolter Rodgers, who leads the SL in saves with 30, earned the save for Pensacola.
Patrick Pollack came through with a big-time hit for Pensacola. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Pensacola manager Bill Ortiz.
The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Pensacola.
