Gross Raps Norfolk for 5 Hits Sunday, June 8th , 2059 Brennan Gross was at the head of a Louisville hit parade at Harbor Park. The center fielder went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Bats to a nice 19-1 victory over the Norfolk Tides. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Gross told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Tides skipper Justin Higginbotham said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Brennan Gross hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Emerson Castillo in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
