Red-Hot McCabe Scorches Stripers Sunday, April 9th , 2051 It was a big day for Jesse McCabe and he brought the Ottawa Oddballs along for the ride. McCabe led his club to a 18-6 victory over the Gwinnett Stripers today at Coolray Field, smoking Gwinnett pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 27-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Jesse McCabe singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Benjamin Reid in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Noah Collier in the 8th. This year McCabe is hitting .533, produced 10 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 5 times and gotten on base at a .576 rate. View Boxscore |
