Knights Win with Late Heroics
The Newark Bears could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tae-Yeong Lee into a win. Instead, the Charlotte Knights prevailed, 3-1, in 14 innings. Lee threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. Christopher DePauw claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. The loss lowers the Newark record to 4-3.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jackson Prentice in the bottom of the 14th when he hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Samuel Endo to win the game for Charlotte. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Prentice.
