Ridin' High: Tuschhoff Hits for Cycle
Monday, May 16th , 2061
Chase Tuschhoff showed off his speed, his power and his plate discipline at T-Mobile Park, putting together all facets of his game to hit for the cycle in the Seattle win.
The 32-year-old third baseman went 4-for-5, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to help the Mariners top the Cleveland Indians by a score of 15-2. A jubilant Tuschhoff told reporters afterward that the experience was "unimaginable."
"Seriously, I would have been happy going 1-for-5 with just the double," he said. "So this feels incredible."
For the day, Tuschhoff finished with 5 RBI and 3 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.
Chase Tuschhoff singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Rick Benfer in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
To date Tuschhoff has chalked up a .338 average with 3 home runs, driven in 18 runs and scored 29 times.
