Suns Drop Grasshoppers, 7-4
|
Greensboro designated hitter John Ogg had a good game, even if his team did not. The Grasshoppers dropped a 7-4 decision to Hagerstown at NewBridge Bank Park. Ogg was 3-6 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Paul Miles recorded the save, his 1st. The Suns, at 38-45, sit in 7th place in the South Atlantic League Northwest Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Emilio Jacome? The Hagerstown left fielder had a run-scoring walk in the top of the 13th inning to put the Suns on top, 5-4. For the game, Jacome had 1 double and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
"Winning never gets dull," said Jacome.
