The Greensboro Grasshoppers dumped the Hagerstown Suns, 13-2, in large part due to left fielder André Curtis. On the day, Curtis was 1-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Grasshoppers. R.J. Ogden, the winner, is now 5-7. He struck out 7 and walked 2 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The win puts Greensboro at 33-49.

Carlos Cadavona had a big bases-clearing double for the Grasshoppers in the bottom of the second inning. With Greensboro leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Irvin Bloomer and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Grasshoppers ahead, 5-0.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Jeremias Robert.
