Grasshoppers Losing Streak at 10 After Extra-Inning Loss to Intimidators
No one was more impactful than Wilton Ryan in an extra-inning, 10-7 Kannapolis win over Greensboro. Ryan was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Joel Savinon picked up his 3rd save of the season. The losses continue to pile up for Greensboro, which has now fallen 10 times in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Winston Ritchie came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Greensboro pitcher Adolfo Lares, he hit a 1-2 splitter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kannapolis on top, 8-7.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Ritchie. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
