The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Greensboro fans at NewBridge Bank Park.
In a tension-filled contest between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the West Virginia Power, pitcher R.J. Ogden was superb. The Greensboro right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Greensboro pitcher James Katlin got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Marcall Monico got the loss.
Greensboro got a knockout punch from Mariano Guerrero. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Guerrero.
The loss has the Power at 4-14.
