The Wichita Pilots took on the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field.

The Wichita Pilots topped the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-2, in Eastern League action at Hadlock Field. The standout performance belonged to Wichita pitcher and New York, native Rocco Chase. Wichita, at 72-45, sits in second place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.

Wichita used a timely hit from Jag Tisinger to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pilots ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Chase.
