Not everyone stuck through the 28-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Portland Sea Dogs downed the Bowie Baysox, 9-6. The hitting star was right fielder Stewart Michalski. Michalski went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Sea Dogs. Bartoli Flores got the win, improving to 4-7. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Chase Stewart picked up the save for Portland, his 2nd of the year.

Portland center fielder Jayson Carlson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 54th hit of the season and put the Sea Dogs ahead, 6-4.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Portland skipper Matt Aguirre.

After today's action, Portland sits at 28-48; Bowie slips to 28-48.
