Losing Streak Continues for Mets with 13-8 Loss to Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox stormed past the New York Mets, 13-8, at Fenway Park. Boston first basemanEmrey Bello , who leads the AL in hits with 186, led the hit parade. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the win over New York, the Red Sox improved to 44-82.

Andrew Thornton had a big 2-run double for the Red Sox in the bottom of the second inning. With Boston trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Jock Pike and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Sox ahead, 2-1.

"We haven't been playing to the level we want to play," said New York manager Colton Whittle.
