The Vancouver Cascades powered past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 11-4, at Dodger Stadium. Tyler Sexton went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. Ean Holby got the win, improving to 15-5. He held the Dodgers to 4 runs on 6 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 4. After today's action, Vancouver sits at 65-55; Los Angeles slips to 63-57.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Sexton hit a grand slam home run off Lincoln Todd. It propelled the Cascades into the lead, 6-2.
"Tyler leaves the last at-bat behind him, whether it was good or bad, and goes up there and competes on every pitch," said Vancouver manager Drew Bohn.
