Falcons Rally to Nose Past Boston
The Fresno Falcons weathered a fine game by Boston shortstop Woody De Maria to upend the Red Sox, 7-6, at Savemart Center. De Maria went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Fresno reliever Bob Aller snagged the win, upping his record to 3-0. Riley Jones shouldered the loss. The Falcons improved their record to 46-40 by beating Boston.

Fresno took a 7-6 lead on Christopher Boyles's 15th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Boyles hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Boston pitcher Riley Jones visibly frustrated.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Boston manager Daniel Knepper. "The effort was great."
