Blue Jays Hammered by Ikegami, Drop Game 4 to Red Sox
The Reidsville Red Sox knotted up the Wild Card Series at Reidsville Fields, thanks in large part to right fielder Yuji Ikegami. Ikegami went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk as he overpowered the Bluefield Blue Jays, enabling Reidsville to grab the 5-1 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Dylan Brito broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Red Sox in front, 2-1. For the game, Brito went 1 for 5.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Reidsville manager Jeff Ward told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Reidsville Fields in Reidsville.
