Bill Summers led the charge as the Pawtucket Red Sox defeated the Rochester Norsemen, 8-7, in 13 innings at McCoy Stadium. Summers went 5 for 7 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Ethan McNeal, credited with the win in relief, is now 8-5. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Pawtucket is 54-72 and Rochester, with the loss, 65-61.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With one out, Summers hit a cutter from Reagan Daly for a solo home run. The Red Sox, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Pawtucket manager Daniel Holcombe.
