Bisons Snatch 2-1 Win
|
Buffalo got a first-rate effort from pitcher Francisco Delgado, who frustrated Wilkes-Barre hitters en route to a 2-1 Bisons triumph at Coca-Cola Field. Delgado got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 2 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. At 47-27, the Bisons claim first place in the International League Northeast Division.
Seth Morvant had a big run-scoring triple for the Bisons in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Buffalo leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Conrad Williams and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bisons ahead, 2-0.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Wilkes-Barre manager Hector Vidal said, following the tough loss.
