Gwinnett Gets 9-5 Win Versus Pawtucket in 13
|
No one was more impactful than Donald Fleming in an extra-inning, 9-5 Gwinnett win over Pawtucket. Fleming went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The win went to Zachary Murch in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Chase Stewart took the loss. The setback makes Pawtucket 20-25.
Gwinnett used the timely hitting of Oswin Camp to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Stripers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Fleming simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
