Bradenton Ace Named FSL Most Valuable Player Award

Not only has Joey Luczak been named winner of the 2028 Florida State League Most Valuable Player Award, he's done it at an age when many of his peers are still trying to establish themselves in Florida State League.

"I feel fortunate to win this award at age 24," he said. "I feel like I still have my best years ahead of me. Hopefully I can put my name on this trophy a few more times."

The Bradenton Marauders ace had a 15-6 record over 28 starts and 179.1 innings. He struck out 208, issued 57 walks and had an impressive 2.06 ERA.

Batters hit only .201 against him during the season.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 12. Leonardo Saldivar of the Jupiter Hammerheads finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Victor de Leon of the Bradenton Marauders finished third.
