Outstanding Pitcher Award Announced, Winner is Luczak Friday, October 6th , 2028 The Florida State League announced today that Joey Luczak has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2028. The Bradenton hurler had everything working for him as he cruised to an outstanding 15-6 record. Luczak put up an impressive 2.06 ERA in his award-winning season. He started 28 times, worked 179.1 innings, yielded 130 hits, walked 57, fanned 208 and held opposing hitters to a .201 average. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Nate Moates of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished second in voting, while Chris Fleck of the Florida Fire Frogs finished third.
