Capitales Heading to Frontier League Championship Thursday, September 4th , 2059 The Quebec Capitales and Joliet Slammers hooked up in a classic Round 1 that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Quebec heading off to the Frontier League Championship, after a 3-1 win at SilverCross Field tonight earned the 4-3 series win. Outside SilverCross Field, whether they were supporters of Quebec or Joliet, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Danny Aponte played the hero for the Capitales in the series, as his MVP performance included a .412 batting average, with a .524 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Quebec Capitales will play against the New Jersey Jackals in the next round. New Jersey won their series against the Evansville Otters 4 games to 1.
