Landers Holds Memphis Scoreless Wednesday, June 19th , 1918 Chattanooga Nickajacks fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Jim Landers blanked the Memphis Bears, 6-0, at Bears Ballpark. Landers stopped them on 9 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Nickajacks skipper John Johnson said. "He was on top of his game in this one."
