Presswood Takes This Week's Trophy

Pete Presswood demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Great Northern Player of the Week Award.
The Indianapolis right fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .519 average (14-for-27) with no home runs and 1 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.

Week's Premier Player: Atlanta's Nelson

This week Great Southern pitching was a feast fit for a king and Pee Wee Nelson really made the most of it -- ripping them royally. The talented Atlanta hitting machine produced a .464 batting average, no home runs, 13 hits in 28 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs.
That kind of hitting earned him the GSL Player of the Week honors.
On the year, Nelson is hitting .328 with 99 hits, 1 home run, 46 RBIs, .388 OBP and has scored 43 runs.
