The Richmond Black Rifles powered past the Savannah Goobers, 8-2, at Black Rifles Ballpark. Milton Reed provided some of the pop. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Black Rifles improved their record to 30-37 with the win over Savannah.

Richmond took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 2nd, Red Elam hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Black Rifles.
