Rays Trade Díaz to Giants for Crawford Thursday, January 2nd , 2025 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Tampa Bay Rays and the San Francisco Giants have agreed to a deal that will have 33-year old 1B Yandy Díaz heading to San Francisco in exchange for 24-year old minor league 1B Reggie Crawford and 18-year old minor league RHP Luis Vargas. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Tampa Bay will retain a portion of Díaz's remaining contract. Looking at his all-time stats, Díaz has a lifetime .281 average with 812 hits, 156 doubles, 8 triples, 77 home runs and 328 RBIs. To date he has scored 434 runs, walked 387 times and stolen 12 bases. |
