Rodriguez, Akin Swap Teams Friday, December 13th , 2024 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Royals announced today the acquisition of 29-year old LHP Keegan Akin from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for 22-year old minor league 2B Lizandro Rodriguez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Royals, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." During his career, Akin has compiled a 15-20 mark, pitched in 176 games, been credited with 8 saves and posted a 4.71 ERA. He has 355 strikeouts in 378.2 innings pitched. |
