Cubs, Giants Trade Players Tuesday, November 12th , 2024 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Chicago Cubs and the San Francisco Giants have agreed to a deal that will have 30-year old SS Dansby Swanson heading to San Francisco in exchange for 33-year old LHP Taylor Rogers, 26-year old CF Vaun Brown, 26-year old minor league C Blake Hunt, 23-year old minor league RHP Ubert Mejias, and 25-year old minor league 2B Brett Wisely. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. During his career, Swanson has notched 1032 hits and a .261 average with 132 home runs and 521 RBIs. In 197 games Brown has a career .249 batting average and a .338 on-base percentage. He has hit 20 home runs with 69 RBIs and 106 runs scored. |
