Progressive Field was host to some intense drama.

The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from pitcher Jacob deGrom, but the Cleveland Guardians still won the game, 3-2. deGrom threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Cleveland pitcher Robert Stephenson got the win, upping his record to 1-0. David Bednar got the loss.

Josh Naylor was the walk-off hero for Cleveland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Guardians right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," said Naylor.

Cleveland goes to 13-9.
