Rockies Win Squeaker, 5-4, Over Nationals
|
The Colorado Rockies beat the Washington Nationals, 5-4, in 10 innings. Colorado pitcher and West Chester, Pennsylvania, native Chris McMahon led the way. Colorado reliever Isaac Rudecindo was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Tyler Schoff took the loss. Colorado is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 16 games.
The Rockies got a clutch hit from catcher Brian Serven. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rockies.
"Chris's a gamer," said Colorado manager Pedro Lopez. "Glad he's on our side."
