Angels Come Up Short at Seattle, 5-4
The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at T-Mobile Park, taking down the Los Angeles Angels, 5-4. Starting pitcher Chris Clarke was a big reason why. Clarke, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. The loss has the Angels at 4-3.

Michael Brantley had a big 2-run home run for the Mariners in the bottom of the third inning. With Seattle leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he got a curveball from Tyler Anderson, who led the AL in wins with 17 last year, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mariners ahead, 4-1.

"We did enough to win," said Brantley.
