Foscue Hits 2 home runs in Rangers Win
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Texas Rangers were eager to watch Jacob deGrom square off against Garrett Whitlock of the visiting Boston Red Sox. In the end, the Rangers won the game, 8-1, with Justin Foscue leading the way. Jacob deGrom, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-0. He pitched 8.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 7 and walking 0.

With Texas leading 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Foscue hit a changeup from Garrett Whitlock for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 7-1.

Said losing manager Chad Bell: "Give the Rangers credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
