Tigers Suffer 5-2 Road Loss
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Detroit Tigers, 5-2, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Baltimore shortstop Connor Norby had the hot bat. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Kevin Gausman picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-3. He struck out 8 in 5 innings. With the victory, the Orioles upped their record to 84-77.

With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Norby hit a sinker from Tarik Skubal for a grand slam home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Orioles ahead, 5-0.

Said losing manager Byron Nichols: "Give the Orioles credit. They played a better game than we did."
