Diamondbacks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Marlins
Getting offensive support from Gabriel Moreno, the Arizona Diamondbacks topped the Miami Marlins, 7-5. Moreno was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Diamondbacks. Arizona reliever Caleb Ferguson picked up the win, upping his record to 9-9. Max Meyer was saddled with the loss. The win puts Arizona at 81-80 this season.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Moreno delivered big-time for Arizona, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Max Meyer. The game-changing hit put the Diamondbacks on top, 7-5.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo.
