Dodgers Down Cubs, 7-4
|
Los Angeles first baseman Freddie Freeman was instrumental in helping the Dodgers triumph, 7-4, over the Chicago Cubs. Freeman went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The slumping Cubs have dropped 7 in a row.
Wilderd Patiño came through with a big-time hit for Los Angeles. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I'm proud to wear a Los Angeles jersey," Freeman told the Los Angeles Observer. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
