Cubs Topple Phillies, 6-4
|
Justin Steele was superb against Philadelphia. The left-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Cubs victory. The score was 6-4. Javier Assad picked up the win in relief for Chicago, while Aaron Nola took the loss. Collin McHugh picked up the save, his 38th.
The Cubs got a big hit from catcher Drew Millas. In the bottom of the sixth, Millas smacked a 2-run double off Philadelphia pitcher Aaron Nola. It was his 1st double of the season. Suddenly, the Cubs were ahead, 4-3.
"Justin just settled in and did what he does," said Chicago manager Lloyd Turner.
The second-place Cubs now have a record of 66-68.
