Reds Raise Rally Flag, Beat Los Angeles, 4-2
|
Cincinnati registered a win at Great American Ball Park by beating the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-2. Pitcher Cole Irvin was one reason why the Reds triumphed. Cincinnati pitcher Bryan Abreu earned the win, hiking his record to 5-2. Bryce Montes De Oca suffered the loss. Cincinnati is third in the National League Central Division with a record of 26-32.
Cincinnati went up, 2-1, on Will Benson's 18th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Benson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Los Angeles pitcher Bryce Montes De Oca shaking his head.
"Feels good to get the job done," Irvin said after the game.
