Nationals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Dodgers, 7-4
|
The Washington Nationals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-4. Washington pitcher and Tulsa, Oklahoma, native Jake Bennett led the way. Los Angeles drops to 18-14.
CJ Abrams hit a 2-run triple off Ryan Pepiot in the top of the ninth, which put the Nationals in front, 6-4. Abrams had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"Jake pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Washington manager Dave Martinez.
