Invaders Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, September 7th , 2010 When it comes to a late-season playoff disappointment, the old axiom "wait until next year" isn't overly comforting. "We really thought we would get into the playoffs this year," said Memphis Invaders starting pitcher Mike Berry. "It's really disappointing to come up short." Before this season, the Invaders last missed the playoffs in 2006. In the 11 years they have been a WBL Rookie League franchise, they have made the playoffs 6 times. |
