Top Player Named by Tyrell Corporation Association Tuesday, October 20th , 2009
The manager of the Thornhill Reds said he thinks Joe Parker is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the first baseman's 2009 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Tyrell Corporation Association Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .358 batting average and a .426 on-base percentage this year. In 103 games he piled up 144 hits, 23 doubles, 1 triple, 24 home runs, 85 RBIs and 62 runs scored.
