Division Series Goes the Distance, Sharjah Prevails

The Sharjah Scorpions and Hilo Hurricanes hooked up in a classic Division Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Sharjah heading off to the League Championship Series, after a 3-2 win at Scorpions Ballpark tonight earned the 3-2 series win.
Outside Scorpions Ballpark, whether they were supporters of Sharjah or Hilo, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Naoya Yoshida played the hero for the Scorpions in the series, as his MVP performance included a .375 batting average, with a .444 on-base percentage. He also had 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Sharjah Scorpions will play against the Edinburgh Lochs in the next round. Edinburgh won their series against the Hamhung Crocodiles 3 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.

Carlsbad Advances to League Championship Series

Akihito Nishimura isn't taking anything for granted, but he likes his team's chances to capture a World Series.
"We're playing great baseball right now," said the Carlsbad Cool Cats hurler, who was named MVP of the Division Series after his club swept the Thebes Pharoahs.
It's off to the League Championship Series for Carlsbad, after winning the clinching game by a 3-0 count and the series 3-0.
It remains to be seen whether Nishimura's confidence is warranted, but at this point the team is looking good. The MVP had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.
The Carlsbad Cool Cats don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Nordic Hammers - Abbotsford Sky Hawks series. Abbotsford leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
