Lerro Twirls 4-0 Shutout for Captains
|
The Hamhung Crocodiles were almost helpless in their 4-0 loss to the Shreveport Captains and hurler Jason Lerro. Lerro kept the Crocodiles confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Lerro," Hamhung manager Javier Rangel said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 22-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Lerro said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
Up to now Lerro has recorded a record of 5-4. In 11 starts he has fanned 51 batters in 81.1 innings with a 2.32 ERA.
