Keng-chi Louis of the Busan Bluebirds was on top of his game.

The 37-year-old tantalized the Osaka Emperors with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest, shutting them out, 1-0.

"He had the changeup working," Osaka manager Hafizi Bajraktari said in postgame comments. "You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."

The Busan hurler had 3 strikeouts, gave up no walks and surrendered 5 hits in his complete-game effort.

Louis told reporters after the game that "keeping the ball down is the key to being successful in this league."

"If you don't do that, they'll make you pay," he said.

So far this season, Louis has a record of 5-2 with 50 strikeouts and 17 walks in 67.2 innings and a 2.93 ERA.
