Havana, Virunga Swap Players Tuesday, July 22nd , 2110 After prolonged negotiations Havana agreed to ship 25-year old LF Abdelahi El Hindi, 30-year old minor league RF Kifle Abensur, and a 3rd round draft pick to Virunga for 29-year old RHP Gabriel Juarez. The deal is awaiting confirmation from the league office but neither team expects any hang-ups. "It took longer than expected," said one GM, "but we knew that the deal was going to happen." So far this year El Hindi is batting .308 with 20 home runs, 56 RBIs and 44 runs scored. On the season Juarez has a 5-2 record with a 4.19 ERA. |
